  • GW Names Director of Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Institute (02/03/16)
    Kevin Pelphrey, a global leader in autism research, and $5 million investment will transform GW into a top research and treatment center for adolescents and young adults with autism. The Institute will be based on the Virginia Science and Technology Campus.

  • GW Receives Prestigious Loudoun School-Business Partnership Award (3/15/16)
    GW was honored to receive the Loudoun School-Business Partnership Award of Excellence for Service on March 11. The partnerships with Loudoun County Public Schools began more than 15 years ago and have expanded to include close working relationships with the art and science departments. Thousands of LCPS students and teachers have benefited from exposure to new experiences and hands-on learning, especially in STEM-related fields.
  • New Data Science Program Meets Growing Workforce Demand (3/14/16) 
    The explosion of data in today’s world is rapidly shaping the landscape of our lives. GW’s new, interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Data Science program was created to help meet the need for specialists with the skills to process, interpret and extract actionable insights from the vast amounts of data being produced. The Certificate will be offered at GW’s Virginia Science and Technology Campus starting this summer.
  • The Evolution of Corporate Sustainability: Insights from Alison Taylor, Siemens Corporation (3/14/16)
    Sustainability is a complex topic that means different things to different people and companies. Alison Taylor, vice president of sustainability for Siemens, shared her insights about the evolution of sustainability, especially as it applies to Siemens, with attendees of the Dean's Speaker Series on March 2nd.

  • VSTC's Dr. Todd Miller and Exercise Science Lab Featured on Dr. Oz Show
    Core expert Jenna Wolfe finds out her resting metabolic rate with the help of Dr. Todd Miller at the Milken Institute School of Public Health's Weight Management and Human Performance Laboratory and then puts the negative calorie diet to the test. Aired Feb. 8, 2016 on the Dr. Oz show.
