The GW Board of Trustees charged Chair Nelson Carbonell to form a committee of Board members, faculty, and administrators, to engage with the GW faculty in a review of faculty governance during the 2013-2014 academic year.
The Faculty Governance Task Force has been meeting with faculty from of each of GW's ten schools and holding town hall meetings on the Foggy Bottom, Mount Vernon and Virginia Campuses to assess the Faculty Code's alignment with the University's Strategic Plan.
The governance website provides extensive resources, including the board resolution, the faculty code, and additional information about the town hall meetings.
Faculty members are encouraged to provide feedback to the Board via a confidential website. They may also send their comments or concerns to [email protected].
