Nearly 100 members of the NSF/Industry/University Center for High-Performance Reconfigurable Computing (CHREC) gathered at the GW Virginia Science and Technology Campus recently for a mid-year workshop and Industrial Advisory Board meeting. National Science Foundation representatives Dr. Irene Qualters and Dr. Rita Rodrigues presented, followed by faculty and student project progress reports. Also presenting were representatives from the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the Artic Region Supercomputing Center (ARSC).

CHREC, a national center with sites at the University of Florida, Virginia Tech, Brigham Young University, and at GW operates under the auspices of the NSF with memberships from industrial and government partners at the four center sites. GW is a founding site of the CHREC, with Dr. Tarek El-Ghazawi GW site director and co-director of the national center.
