Bringing Together Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, and Business

Graduates of this 30-credit graduate degree program will be prepared with in-demand skills, including data analysis, programming, new product commercialization, and data generation as well as career skills in the bioinformatics and biotechnology fields. Specific examples include:

Acquiring a level of competence with scripting and programming
Gaining hands-on laboratory skills in protein and DNA extraction and assay
Using bioinformatics and computational tools for biomolecular modeling and DNA sequence analysis
Analyzing experimental data with informatics toolsets
Learning about business and research practices to launch new ventures
Developing an awareness of the related ethical, policy, and management issues
