Engineering Management, Accelerated M.S.

The Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering (EMSE) programs are designed to develop leaders for technically-oriented organizations and prepare them for the future. The most sought-after engineering and business professionals today have combined management and technology credentials. In today’s fast paced world of technology-driven changes, the well educated technical professional with a management background is invaluable. Employers seek engineers, scientists and business professionals who can lead the process of change, and who have the ability to apply the power of information technology to the management of their organizations. A group of 25 students is expected to begin in March 2012, with a program completion date of December 2013.

Systems Engineering, Accelerated M.S.

The George Washington University Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering, Off-Campus Programs Office (EMSE-OCP), will be launching an accelerated master’s program in Systems Engineering at the Virginia Science and Technology Campus.

The academic discipline of Systems Engineering focuses on innovation in the theories that govern the structure, operation, and management of technical and scientific organizations. The accelerated M.S. degree enables professionals who are employed full-time to pursue master’s level study on weekends in an intense, focused environment alongside like-minded fellow students. This program will begin on September 29, 2012, with a program completion date of May 2014.

Engineering Management/Systems Engineering, Ph.D.

This accelerated doctoral program enables professionals who are employed full-time to pursue doctoral study and research in an intense, focused environment alongside like-minded fellow students. A group of 15-20 students will begin study at the Virginia Science and Technology Campus in March 2012 with a target graduation date of May 2015.
