Loudoun County High School Students Participate in Science, Technology & Engineering Day 2013 at GW

Packed buses dropped off more than 120 kids from all 13 Loudoun County high schools to participate in the seventh annual Science, Technology & Engineering Day on April 11. Held at GW's Virginia Science & Technology Campus in Ashburn, VA, students choose three hands-on workshops from the eleven workshop offerings, covering a variety of science and technology topics. Students were introduced to different career options by GW faculty and graduate students and learned about "Tools for Neuroscience Research," from the keynote speaker Tim Harris, the director of the Applied Physics and Instrumentation Group at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Janelia Farm Research Campus.
