Fearless Flying in 2016! coincides with the commemoration of the 15th year since the tragedy of 9/11. Marian Osher was afraid to fly for three years after her flight was detoured on 9/11. Her in-flight fascination with the textures and abstractions of the earth and clouds inspired her to create colorful mixed-media paintings and wall hangings that helped her to overcome her fear of flying.

“Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Loudoun Country Board of Supervisors hereby commends The George Washington University’s Virginia Science and Technology Campus on its 20th anniversary; and expresses its gratitude to the University for its contribution to the economy of Loudoun County and for educating its citizens to fill jobs of the twenty-first century.”
