Exhibit Open to the Public through Jan.12, 2011;
Artist Reception December 7, 2010

EVENT:  Student artwork from Loudoun County Public Schools on exhibit at The George Washington University Virginia Science and Technology Campus (VSTC). The exhibit features two-dimensional, mixed-media works by more than 50 student artists from Catoctin Elementary School, Evergreen Mill Elementary School, Smarts Mill Middle School, and Loudoun County High School.

Tuesday, December 7, 6:30–8:00 p.m.

Exhibit Dates:  Oct. 29, 2010 thru Jan. 12, 2011 Gallery: Open to the public. Please call building security at 703-726-8368 to confirm access for planned visit.

WHERE:  The George Washington University Virginia Science and Technology Campus, 20101 Academic Way, Rm. 121, Ashburn, VA (At University Center off of Rt. 7, one mile west of Rt. 28)

COST:  The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

BACKGROUND:  The GW Virginia Science and Technology Campus partners with Loudoun County Public Schools to showcase works by local students of all ages. This exhibit is one of a series of ongoing student artwork exhibits hosted by the University.

The GW Virginia Science and Technology Campus was established in Loudoun County in 1991 as a center for innovative research, graduate education, and regional corporate partnerships. The Campus hosts a dozen centers of excellence in critical areas such as energy science and technology, transportation safety, and high performance computing. The GW Virginia Science and Technology Campus also offers more than 20 graduate degree and certificate programs in business, education, and engineering, and unique undergraduate programs in health sciences and nursing. Located at the University Center in Ashburn, the campus is positioned strategically in the Northern Virginia technology corridor near Dulles International Airport, just 12 miles west of Tysons Corner and 8 miles east of Leesburg.
