New Grant to Boost Cybersecurity Education in Virginia through GW Cyber Hub and Partnerships

GW is teaming up with the Michigan Cyber Range (MCR) to bring a cutting-edge cybersecurity training environment to GW’s Virginia Science and Technology Campus. Made possible by a half-million dollar grant from the National Science Foundation, the SCEPTRE project will create a platform for training, research and experimentation.

For the GW School of Nursing, it was the largest cohort yet. More than 90 nursing students gathered in Ashburn for introductions, words of encouragement from faculty members and some SON traditions to mark their first day as nursing students. For many of the students in attendance, the White Coat Ceremony was their first step on the path to a career in nursing.

“Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Loudoun Country Board of Supervisors hereby commends The George Washington University’s Virginia Science and Technology Campus on its 20th anniversary; and expresses its gratitude to the University for its contribution to the economy of Loudoun County and for educating its citizens to fill jobs of the twenty-first century.”
