A state-of-the-art Cray XE6m, made available to GW’s High Performance Computing Laboratory (HPC Lab) through a $1.2 million National Science Foundation Major Research Instrumentation Grant, will expand the HPC Lab’s research program and supercomputing applications, says Dr. Tarek El-Ghazawi, HPC Lab director.

GW Alumni Artists Exhibit on Campus In Celebration of the Campus’ 20-Year Anniversary (September-October 2011)

In celebration of the upcoming 20th Anniversary of the Campus, distinctive works from local GW Alumni artists will be on display in three exhibits throughout the year. The artist reception is Thursday, Sept. 29 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and is open to the public. The reception features Solo Guitarist and GW Adjunct Professor of Music, John Albertson, sponsored by Olivera Music Entertainment.

“Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Loudoun Country Board of Supervisors hereby commends The George Washington University’s Virginia Science and Technology Campus on its 20th anniversary; and expresses its gratitude to the University for its contribution to the economy of Loudoun County and for educating its citizens to fill jobs of the twenty-first century.”
